MMA Clothing these days reflects the freestyle image that Mixed Martial Arts has portrayed from day one of its conception as a recognized sport rather than a glorified street brawl. Unlike wrestling, that requires a discipline of its own, mixed martial arts takes fighting styles from various traditions across the globe, and has combined them to form the Ultimate Fighting Championship tournament in 1993.However, when one regards the sport as ‘freestyle’, there are rules in place to set limits on the extent of brutality that can be debilitating when in the ring. Significantly, MMA gloves(as opposed to bare-knuckled boxing) play a large part in preventing serious damage to fighters in the ring who get away with mere cuts, nicks and bruises that can be so much worse if gloves aren’t used.Since, the techniques used in MMA consists of both striking and grappling while standing or even on the ground, fight shorts are appropriate and permitted during a MMA fight and as for the hip upwards, fighters normally fight bare-chested.MMA Shirts are another important facet to the sport even though they aren’t used during a fight but are worn by fighters before a fight (along the same lines of marketing promo) while fans take great pride to don the tees of their favorite fighter as well. With the apparent flexibility in both the sport and its clothing, fighters from different styles across the globe are able to pit their wits and talent in the ring against opponents in a fair fight that is exciting to watch.
Summer is not even here yet, but nail trends for fall are already out. Jan Arnold, Co Founder of CND says that dimensional manicures will be all the rage this autumn, with texture adding to the overall look.
Some of the hot colors to be sporting this autumn are:
1. Steely greys
2. Rich camels
3. Warm beige
4. Vibrant reds
5. Bright bluish-green
Steely Dan - bright midnight shades and brown mushroom colors and grey nails will go well with this fall’s fashion palette of black leather and dull greens. Get a Lunar Eclipse manicure by pairing deep blue nail polish with Gold Chrome around the cuticle, for a fantastic metro look. A denim manicure is also possible with CND’s Urban Oasis Color, layered with teal shade for an overall green-blue shimmer.
Power Surge - the classic red shade is pushed aside this fall, making way for vibrant, rich reds with definite attitude. Paint on a blood red shade and then top it up with a shiny top coating for a sexy look. These nails are perfect for urban street-wear. For absolutely electronic nails, dab on a coating of sparkle over scarlet nails achieving that fabulous glam-glam look.
Balanced Beauty - neutrals are also favorites for autumn this year, and will go well with soft, feminine clothing and delicate fashions already strutting their stuff on the catwalks this year. CND’s Desert Suede teamed with a top coating of Super Matte Top Coat to achieve a soft finish.

There are moments in our lives when we are reminded of the past rather fondly. Nostalgia, as some say, is a waste of time. Almost every moment of nostalgia evokes a memory based on something that you see or hear. Who knows: one could attribute it to the retro home décor that you caught a passing glimpse of in one of your grand mom’s black and white photos albums.
Or perhaps the now considered cheesy-but-cool 60’s clothing that were the rage during your parents’ time consisting of cocktail dresses, boho chic attire and daywear for the women and cashmere sweaters, denim jackets and flannel shirts for the men to name a few, during a time when the stalwarts of American counterculture (also known as the hippie movement) made their play for freedom, love and peace leading to a ideological ‘domino effect’ of sorts.
If the 60’s belonged to the hippie movement then the 50’s clothing was everything post War World II that began with Christian Dior’s generous outfits for women that changed the course of fashion history all the way until now, that were perhaps stifled by austere forms of clothing due to the demands of the war where men weren’t far behind with their plain shirts, retro gingham shirts, Hawaiian tee shirts, long sleeve wool shirts or the sports shirts.
Say what you want though, but in looking through long last treasures of ages gone by, perhaps a piece of you and your heritage come back too.
Everyone makes mistakes when it comes to fashion, makeup and even hair. What really matters is if you are happy with how you look. Here is a list of really common beauty-related mistakes everyone makes:
Lipstick that does not suit you
Every season has a specific color of lipstick. Sometimes though, particular shades do not suit certain skin tones; especially the darker tones. Sometimes, regardless of skin tone, women tend to opt for the more ‘in’ shades of lipstick and wear them anyway - and the result is disastrous! When following fashion trends, it is important that you use them simply as guidelines and not absolute law. You have to keep your skin complexion in mind as well as your wardrobe, when deciding on makeup such as lipstick.
Hair colour - picking the wrong shade
This is something we have all witnessed. An absolute change in hair colors works sometimes, but the rest of the time, it can be horrid. Changing the color of your hair to go with the trends this season is sometimes not the best choice to make. It might help to wear a wig in that particular colour and then decide if it looks good on you or not.
Getting too trendy
Think about it, not everyone can pull off the Bohemian look. It might be great to follow the fashion of the season, but keep in mind. You do not have to change completely just for the sake of fashion.
Everything in moderate doses should do the trick!

For as long as the line ‘Bond, My name is Bond’ has stayed in fashion, men’s suits have been in demand as every man seeks to portray that smooth and suave image that some of Hollywood’s leading men have played.
However, since the idea of ‘one size fits all’ doesn’t apply to clothing, you can’t possibly get the exact size or the particular material that you are comfortable with when you visit any store, not unless you have your personal tailor.
Online clothes stores offer tuxedos and suits that are available in the size that fits you, and keeping in mind, the latest trends in fashion. Even though, designer wear comes at a hefty price these days in outrageous prices, it is good to know that some of these offer the option of buying discount suits as well.
These suits and tuxedos have been crafted using the finest materials, styles and colors, and focus on the intricate details and how it fits a customer, which will in turn, help you look your best at an occasion.
And we all know how a good suit / tuxedo can take you a long way to looking good and feeling confident, regardless of your height and size of your frame. So not only will you be able to find a suit that not only fits your size, material type and color but will also feel ‘just right’ in terms of presentation and image.
