Nevertap Fightwear
Nevertap Fightwear, the Los Angeles-based MMA clothing line, has started a non-profit organization called FightingforAngels.org, reports examiner.com. According to an interview with company founder Rick Cartwright, the organization was created to sponsor a broad range of people in need, “whether it’s a child with cancer, a family in need of help, that’s what that organization represents.
The non-profit organization will sponsor fighters who will wear the FightingforAngels.org logo on all of their shirts. The organization is planning to host a sandwich drive in the Los Angeles area, and plans to feed the homeless every few months.
Known for portraying the lighter more positive side of MMA, Nevertap Fightwear offers MMA gear and clothing, including T-shirts, shorts, and accessories. Instead of designing logos with skulls and crossbones, the marketing for Nevertap Fightwear promotes, according to Cartwright “the discipline, the art, the craft and life lessons martial arts can teach kids and adults alike.”
As a martial artist himself, Cartwright developed the respect for the art early on and eventually received a black belt in kempo karate. He continued his training in China and learned Chinese kung fu. After realizing that he wasn’t a fighter, he decided to launch a clothing company that offers MMA clothing and fight gear for fans and fighters alike. The company also offers MMA clothing for women and kids, including MMA shorts, T-shirts, and hats.
