Preventing acne

Few skincare practices can prevent acne.  Here are few ideas for you to practice.

Regardless of whether you have acne or not, it is important to wash your face every day.  Washing help to remove excess oils, impurities and dead skin from your face.  Washing can be done with hot, cold or warm water and with a facial cleanser.  If you have acne, do not use soap that contains harsh chemicals.

Most of us tend to use exfoliating glove, flannel or loofah and scrub hard with it.  Avoid using them and use your hands instead to wash your face.  If you prefer use a soft and smooth piece of cloth to wash your face.  Once you use a towel to dry your face, make sure to wash your towel before using again.

Most acne products contain anti-bacterial agents.  These products help to exfoliate your skin and dry it out sooner to remove bacteria.  Use these products as directed by the manufacturer.

Since acne products tend to dry out your skin, use a moisturizer on your face.  Gel works great on oily skin.  If you have dry skin, use lotion or cream.  Wash your face to moisten your skin before using a moisturizer.  Keep your hands off your face.
