This happens mostly when makeup is put on in a rush, or if the right products are not available. Here are a few of the most common slip-ups and how you can avoid them:

Foundation; too dark or too light

When buying foundation, you have to test it. Use your neck area or your cheeks to test it out. Choose a foundation that blends in with your skin tone. Do not settle for a darker or lighter shade.

Sometimes, testing foundation before purchasing it is impossible. If you did buy the wrong shade, do not settle for it. Try mixing it with another shade to get one that matches your skin tone.

It is also important that you lay on the moisturizer before you apply the foundation. This way, you do not have to worry about wrinkles and fine lines. It will also make your foundation last longer.

Blush; way too much

In this day and age, heavily blushed up cheeks are not considered fashionable. First, choose the right shade, which makes it look natural on your skin. Testing out shades is very important. Use it on your cheekbones, if not, the back of your hand will do.

If you unable to test them then opt for peaches and pinks ranging from light to medium shades – these will not make you look ‘over-blushed’.

Too much lipstick

If you have far too much lipstick on, then you might end up with coloured teeth. Instead, opt for a lip gel or stain – which ensures the colour does not rub off. There are ‘non-transferrable’ and ‘colour stay’ lipsticks you can purchase, which also keep the colour intact.

Every single Judith Lieber purse, even a simple rhinestone purse, carries with it fantastic craftsmanship, meticulous detailing and a fabulous style. The company, launched by Judith Lieber in 1963 has grown from strength to strength over the years – with every red carpet function dotted with the presence of her creations. These purse designs vary from Swarovski crystal dotted clutches in numerous shapes and sizes and including those shaped like cupcakes, Hello Kitty minaudieres and even tropical parrots.

Wearing a Judith Lieber purse is no easy task taking into consideration the fancy-schmancy price tag attached to it as are the quirky and bizarre designs turned out by the company.

The glittery purses are so over the top that any other kind of jewellery will probably go unnoticed. Wearing a Judith Lieber purse would require minimal jewellery, other than perhaps understated earrings and a simple silver crystal bracelet or any other kind of jewellery that complements the purse, rather than those that clash with the splendid designs.

Some of the red carpet stars to pair their outfits with Judith Lieber creations at this year’s Grammy Awards included Kristen Bell and Fergie – who carried simple, classic Judith Lieber clutches, unlike Katy Perry who went risqué, with a Lieber Maharaja Elephant minaudiere.

It was a time of the old versus the new, and a time when people shed their pretenses for a simpler and more honest life that intended to bring people together in harmony and brotherhood.

This was the 60s, and while the change took over in fashion apart from the other areas of one’s life, it did not die out with the close of the decade but found new form in the 70s era – that is popularly known for disco clothing et al.

What is remarkable about fashion is that it truly depicts the adage: what you think is how you present and express yourself. And somehow each of these ground-breaking eras showed plenty of evidence to support this thought. And the change continues to take place, ever so slowly.

While most designers and fashion aficionados look back to draw inspiration from the fashion trends of old, it is not limited to just them but to common people who haven’t really forgotten the past much like most folks who like to live in the present.

Not only can you find a wide range of vintage clothing at certain stores but also over the internet in the form of vintage clothing websites such as www.vintagetrends.com at nominal prices for every occasion that might come up.

And there is so much to be thankful for.” Perhaps the reason why this is being mentioned here is that while 60’s clothing took on an earthy form that was one with nature and exhibited values of cheerfulness and being centered, the fashion during World War II barely resembled anything that one would associate with the 60s or even the era in which our grandparents were in their prime.

But as time flew by, and the sacrifices of our forefathers resulted in an upsurge for the finer things in life again, after waging a long and weary battle, it must never be forgotten that the mood of the times so closely resembled what men and women wore at the time and that is now known as American vintage clothing.

All that remained during those dark years was the ever-lingering emotions of fear and dread that hung upon the world and while the arts were hardly the focus anymore, fashion also took a backseat as well while the lives of brave men hung in the balance.

Gone were the motorcycle jackets, the vintage tee shirt and so many of the other fashion trends that glorified youth and beauty if only for a while. Our present generation cannot experience the times that our forefather led first-hand but can merely get a glimpse of their thoughts and fears through the vintage wear that will bring back memories of times gone by, which is available at websites such as www.vintagetrends.com.

What does retro home décor remind you of?

Oh, a visit to your grandmother’s will give you a pretty good picture of what the term means, with the proverbial embroidered and hand-quilted blankets, area rugs and wall décor that reminds you of a time when you were just kids.

And who said that ‘looking back into the past’ was such a bad idea when things were much simpler?

Vintage Trends, a website that has meticulous documented and preserved fashion trends over seven to either for both men and women, is considered to be one of the best vintage clothing websites that has a wide variety of clothing to offer people who would like to buy them for whatever reason.

Not only can one find recycled but new items of clothing and accessories that belong to the 20th century regardless of whether they are the vintage shirts, jeans, skirts, shoes and so on and so forth.

The truth is that finding genuine vintage clothing is not easy, and for this, a clothing store must have an inventory that is in the millions while also continuing to acquire all types of garments that were made in a time where great importance was given to personalization and costs.

And perhaps, this is a trend that must continue as we move forward in the New Millenium…
